Sara McCullough is the Chief of Staff for Senator Tim Kearney, 26th Senate District. As the Senator’s Chief, she is responsible for overseeing a team of District and Harrisburg office staff who provide constituent relations and community outreach services as well as legislative and policy solutions focused on solving problems and creating a more responsive government at the district, regional and statewide levels.

Prior to coming to the PA Senate in 2018, Sara was the Associate Vice President for Impact at the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. While there, she oversaw all strategic and programmatic aspects of their Education, Workforce Development and Basic Needs Investments, including Trauma Informed Care and Capacity Building work.

Sara has been in the nonprofit sector for 30 years including United Way of Central Massachusetts and United Way of Southeast Delaware County with early direct service in the developmental disabilities field. Her career includes senior administrative responsibilities with United Way planning and investments, community based grants and contracts and mergers. She has a BA in Sociology from The College of Wooster and a certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute, Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work. Ultimately the power of change lies in telling and honoring the truth, local communities, volunteers and relationships.
