Project Coordinator

Lauren Eckel joined HCIF in September 2022 as Project Coordinator for the Population Health team. Lauren provides support to multiple project teams in the management of community and population health projects.

Prior to joining HCIF, Lauren worked as a Research Assistant for Pennsylvania State University on the FFC-AC-EIT research study, which strives to optimize function and physical activity and prevent adverse events among hospitalized patients with ADRD. She also worked as an intern for the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children and Families Out-of-School Time program as the Policy & Qualitative Researcher. 

Lauren is a recent MPH graduate from Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health, in which she majored in Community Health and Prevention and minored in Maternal and Child Health. While at Drexel, Lauren also served as the COVID-19 Social Media Coordinator in which she used a multi-faceted approach to continuously detect new COVID-19 cases, identify sources of transmission, curtail/control spread of disease and educate Drexel community members on public health guidance. Overall, Lauren is very passionate about promoting health and wellness within her community.
