Kaynaat Syed, MHA
Clinical Registry Project Manager

Kaynaat joined HCIF in August of 2019 as a Clinical Registry Project Manager. In this role she supports the Pennsylvania Urology Regional Collaborative (PURC), a quality improvement initiative that brings urology practices together in a physician-led, data-sharing and improvement collaborative aimed at advancing the quality of diagnosis and care for men with prostate cancer. She also supports the Opioid Learning Action Network which is designed to increase the number of patients entering evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorders (OUD) and prevent overdose deaths.

Before joining HCIF, Kaynaat worked at the American College of Surgeons for the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). In this role she worked closely with hospitals across the United States seeking MBSAQIP accreditation. Prior to that, she worked for Indiana University Health as a Lean Process Improvement Coordinator. Kaynaat received her B.S. in Healthcare Management and Policy from Indiana University and her Master in Healthcare Administration from the University of Illinois-Chicago. Her graduate capstone project focused on the development of quality improvement toolkits for hospitals to reduce 30-Day Readmission, Surgical Site Infection (SSI), and Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) rates amongst bariatric surgery patients.
