CPR Ready Trains 22 People at Center in the Park

January 22, 2018

On January 19, CPR Ready trained 22 members of Center in the Park, a community center for older adults located in Germantown, in hands-only CPR and appropriate AED use. The workshop, led by Joseph Russell from CPR/AED Public Awareness and Training (CPAT) Network, was part of two CPR training events offered at Center in the Park for free with generous support from the Green Tree Community Health Foundation.  In October, CPR Ready trained 23 individuals during the first event at Center in the Park.

A community health advocate, the Green Tree Community Health Foundation is a not-for-profit public charity that identifies areas of vulnerability in the communities of Northwest Philadelphia and Eastern Montgomery County and provides funding to organizations whose work addresses these needs. The Foundation seeks to have a positive impact on current and emerging health issues and risks, empowering residents to access health services and value, embrace, and maintain their health.
