On Thursday July 20th, CPR Ready trained 78 people in CPR and AED use at a free, public training event at SEPTA’s Jefferson Station. The event aimed to promote awareness of cardiac arrest, CPR, and AED use and targeted downtown Philadelphia business employees during their morning commute. Training was provided by JeffSTAT and CPAT Network and supported by a grant from the Dolfinger-McMahon Foundation. The event also appeared on the local ABC and NBC news networks.

Later that same afternoon, Penn’s Mobile CPR Project trained 25 employees of the Health Care Improvement Foundation, Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia International Medicine, and HealthShare Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania at 1801 Market Street in center city Philadelphia. Penn Mobile CPR is an active coalition member of the CPR Ready campaign.

If you live or work in the 5-county Philadelphia region and would like to organize a CPR training for your office or community organization, please send an email to info@CPRreadyPHL.org with your name, company and contact information.
